Build out a short job description into a full posting

A new Build out button under the job description turns a few lines of notes into a complete posting that you review before it replaces anything.

What changed

There is now a Build out button under the job description. You will find it on New job, on Edit job and in the Edit job description window on the job page. It takes the title and the lines you have written and turns them into a complete, standard posting with a short summary, key details, what the person will do, what they need, nice-to-haves, benefits and anything else you mentioned.

A fuller description also helps AI candidate matching, because the match looks at the title, location and description of the job.

How to use it

Press Build out. The draft is written next to your text so you can compare them side by side: lines with new wording are marked with a plus, and grey lines are duties typical for the title. Choose Use draft to put it in the description, or Keep mine to leave your text as it is. After you use a draft, Undo appears next to the button and restores your earlier text until you build again.

Remove any new line you don’t want with its trash icon before you use the draft. Lines carried over from your own text stay as they are. Undo in the draft’s header brings the last removed line back.

Nothing is saved until you save the job. Using a draft only changes the description on the page you are working on.

What it will and won’t write

Pay, benefits, requirements, experience, licenses and schedule come only from the text you wrote. Location, work mode and employment type can also come from the job fields. If you did not say it, it is not in the draft, and numbers that are not in your text are removed.

For jobs with only a few stated duties, the draft may add a few duties that are typical for the title. These show in grey so you can check them before you post. Anything the posting is missing, such as pay or schedule, is listed under the draft so you can add it yourself. If the job has internal notes, Build out asks whether to use them too and remembers your answer. Lines that come from notes are marked with a notes icon so you can remove anything private before it becomes part of the public description. The client company is never sent.

Boundaries to know about

Build out needs a job title or a few lines of description. It uses AI, so read the draft before you use it. It usually takes under ten seconds, and it rewrites the whole description in a standard layout, so any custom formatting in your original text is not kept. Use Undo or Discard if you prefer your own version.
